“Custom splitting and joining of files”

File Tools is a set of applications that can be used, in a multiplatform environment, from an interactive console interface, from batch usage or from a graphical interface that run natively on most operating systems.

The tools can be used to split and join files (with or without automatic checksum control) in a way compatible with many other similar applications (i.e. hjsplit), using preset sizes (1,40 MB floppy disk, 650 or 700 MB CD) or highly customizable (even at Byte level) free size; moreover it can be used to byte-by-byte compare two files and to checksum a file.
